The 27th of May see the return of Stand Out Stand Up at Ceol-Mor.

Headliner this month is 23 year old Mikey Adams. “a young Glaswegian with surely a great future ahead of him”. He has previously performed in Inverness on the comedy line-up for Rockness last year.

It has been noted that “His clever material, laid back style coupled with the frighteningly natural onstage presence and comfortable audience interaction skills has seen him do over 150 gigs” (full article here). During his time he has supported the likes of Mark Nelson, Gary Little and The Reverend Obadiah Steppenwolfe III.

Rob Kane has been given guest compere duties for the first time at the event and was last on the line up in February. He was described by the One4Review, as having “some wicked stuff and a pleasing delivery style. He hit the right note with the punters too soon interacting with them and much as delivering his set.”

Support will come in the form of Darren Connell, Adam Struth and John Walker

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me direct at chris@igi.gs
