The band have had a plethora of hits including ‘Laid’ Sit Down’ and ‘Come Home’ and continue to tour heavily since their reformation. The band commented on the announcement:

“We are really excited to be playing at the Big Stooshie. We always get such a fantastic response from the Scottish crowd who really show their affection for us and maybe in some small way this show will help repay them for the years of support we’ve had north of the border and of course this is all for a very worthy cause. See you there!”

The announcement adds to acts including The Damned, The Hoosiers, From The Jam, The Beat, The Boomtown Rats (Roberts & Crowe), The Dykeenies, Tommy Reilly, The Complete Stone Roses, Kazabian, and local (to Inverness) The Lost.

The organisers are hoping to raise £100,000 for Help for Heroes and SSAFA Forces Help

Tickets are now on sale for The Big Stooshie, however as numbers are limited by the capacity of the venue, it is expected to sell out very quickly. Anybody who wants to attend should visit www.ticketcandy.com, or in person at any of the ticket outlets throughout Scotland including The Music Station, 49 Church Street, Inverness Tel: 01463 225323.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me direct at chris@igi.gs
