One of our biggest regrets of 2012 was not speaking to Karima as she was selling rock (she’s from Blackpool) after her last gig at the Ironworks (September 2011). She has so much to say, and does so with her music in such a beautiful and soulful way that the hairs on the back of your neck really do stand up (see the review of her last gig here).

Karima’s return to the music scene after being hailed as the next “best thing” has seen her come back stronger and more determined. Her second album “The Remedy” is released in August  with “Whereever I go” (see above clip) being the first single released from the album.

Tickets are on sale now and are available via www.Ironworksvenue.com

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me direct at chris@igi.gs
