“The Summer by The Sea Tour” will see the Pigeon Detectives tour from Scarborough to Folkestone, making a three stops in Scotland, including Greenock, Aberdeen and Inverness. The indie rock band, returned to the scene after a three year absence with their 3rd album “Up, Guards and at ‘Em!” last year, described as “ music to jump, chant and neck cider to”.

Expecting a band going through the motions? Leanne Durr reviewed their gig in Liverpool 2011 she explains; “What I expected was a run of the mill indie band with a few fairly decent sing-a-long songs. What I got was a high energy all out assault from the moment the band took to the stage till the moment they left it.” (see full Pigeon Detective review).

Tickets are available  via www.IronworksVenue.com

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me direct at chris@igi.gs
