Back this time to headline,  after a  successful appearance in 2011,is Example will be performing to the Highland crowd once more. He is sure to bring an atmosphere to really get the crowd jumping, with top chart hits like “Change The Way You Kiss Me” and “Kick Starts”

Returning Headliners, Basement Jaxx will bring a more diverse dynamic to the banks of Loch Ness. Last time the unstoppable duo and their merry band of singers, dancers and MCs landed at Dores, the brilliantly wild, main stage pandemonium never moved below fourth gear. Now the JAXX experience is returning, and with new material recently being teased across airwaves, igniting strong rumours of a new album, it’ll soon be party time again.

Having now attained national treasure status, Madness  bring their inimitable nutty magic to The Highlands. ‘One Step Beyond’, ‘House of Fun’, ‘Baggy Trousers’, ‘Our House’, ‘It Must Be Love’… in now signature RockNess style, this promises to be the festival’s mass sing-along moment of 2013.

Gracing the Highland hills will be acoustic sensation Ben Howard. Ben has been performing since 2004 and has built up a healthy catalogue of EPs, and his 2011 album “Every Kingdom” featuring well known tracks as “Keep Your Head Up”, ‘The Wolves” and “Only Love”. .Relentless gigging has honed his live shows like few others. Soulful, emotive and one of many unmissables set for RockNess 2013.

The Maccabees are a band from Brighton who formed in 2004, could now be considered veterans on the festival circuit. The 5 piece Indie-Rock band currently with 3 studio albums released are proving their time worthiness with their matured sound from their first album featuring tracks such as “First Love” and “Toothpaste Kisses”, yet have managed to keep all their charm.

The Vaccines are sealing their status as rock ‘n’ roll icons. Debut demo “If You Wanna” exploded as Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’ in 2010, and an instant sell out UK tour played to rapturous media acclaim, and audiences including Alex Kapranos, Marcus Mumford and members of White Lies and The Maccabees.  Second album ‘Come of Age’ rocketed straight into number one in September 2012, certifying gold status less than 3 weeks after release.

Winners of the Best New Band award at 2010’s NME Awards, and Ivor Novello-nominated for second album ‘Flaws’ in 2011,

Bombay Bicycle Club have arrived proper style with third album ‘A Different Kind of Fix’, a lesson in how to work a groove to glorious genre slicing effect. Witness the remarkable evolution this June.

Short and colour blind.. All the best traits of gig photographer. My background is playing music. Multi-instrumentalist, but mainly a bass guitar player. I spent years playing bass for Last Summer Effect but after we split up in late 2013, I have now moved on to play bass for Spoke Too Soon. I study Music Technology at university, and photograph/write for Inverness Gigs when ever I am back home.
