Classic Clapton brings the classics to The Ironworks on November the 22nd, 2013.

Returning to Inverness for the first time since 2006 the visit coincides with the real Eric Clapton having recently released a  new re-mastered deluxe 2CD/DVD version of  Unplugged [Expanded & Remastered].

Mike Hall (Classic Clapton)Classic Clapton comprises of Mike Hall (lead vocals/guitar),  Paul Warren (keyboards/ backing vocals) and founding members Danny Davison (drums) and Dave Robson (bass guitar /backing vocals). Frontman Mike Hall manages to pull of the most important aspects of being a tribute band, not only looking like the man  himself (winning  look a like competition in 1999) but sounding similar too.

The two hour show certainly puts Mike and Co. to the test drawing from Clapton entire career including Cream, The Yardbirds and of course his solo material. The band have picked up plaudits since their inception in 1985, having released three albums and having toured extensively througout the UK, Europe and even travelling as far as Mumbai.

The current tour started with strong reviews including one that  summarised “If you love Clapton, this is a must-see tribute act.” The band show respect but no fear of classics Wonderful Tonight, Tears in Heaven, Crossroads and Layla. The gig offers the opportunity for fans to singalong and experience one of the most impressive Clapton tributes around.

Tickets are available via www.IronworksVenue.com.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me direct at chris@igi.gs
