Following on from announcing that Jocktoberfest 2014 would be held on the 5th and 6th of September, tickets go on sale on the Friday May the 9th.

Jfest Folk 07Dubbed the “Greatest Scottish Beer festival in the world”, the event has previously played host to bands such as Washington Irving, Toby Michaels Rolling Damned and The LaFonatines. 

2013 saw acts such as Casual Sex and Woodenbox mix with local talents such as The Leonard Jones Potential, Ashley and the Cosmonauts and Dylan Tierney (see review here). This year the festival will se 30 acts play over two stages. The initial announcement of who will be playing 2o14 will be announced on the 26th of May.

With last year’s theme of Land Girls being enthusiastically embraced by festival goers, the festival looks for inspiration from the Wild West .

David Gladwin (Black Isle Brewing Co) enthusiastically hollered “Yeehaa! Rollin’, rollin’, rollin’, to all cowgirls and cowboys out there saddle-up, put yours spurs on, and ride out to the Black Isle for a weekend of beer, bands, vittles, love and kissin’, ride ’em in Rawhide!”
