Local Singer Songwriter Hannah Finlayson was the first act to take to the Free Range stage on Friday afternoon.

Hannah was put forward by project Music Plus to play at this years Tartan Heart Festival. This was Hannah’s first appearance at a festival and she drew a great crowd – the Free Range haybales were full. Her influences are drawn from far and wide to create an upbeat sound set against some very personal lyrics which are sure to strike a chord with many of those going through their teenage years.

Hannah’s set included many of her own songs such as ‘Turn the Page’ and ‘I’m Trying’ but also included a lovely cover of the Dixie Chicks ‘Travellin’ Soldier’, all of which proved popular with the crowd.

You can next catch Hannah at North Hop which takes place in Eden Court on the 29th and 30th of August.
