Belladrum’s Potting Shed stage announces line-up for 2016
What would Belladrum be without the Potting Shed stage? Probably its most famous past performer was an unknown American musician who was living in Sweden. Seasick Steve, they called him. Well, howsabout that?
Today, we have the 2016 Potting Shed line-up announced, and what a doozy it is. We’ve got country, rock (rawk!), blues, Americana and more – a whole raft of diverse styles that at both homely and hip-shaking.
Thursday evening has the wonderful yippee-kai-ay of The Federals, along with Emma Mitchell’s Mother’s Ruin.
Friday’s line-up includes Trident, Bluebelly, Norrie McCulloch, The Carloways, Amythyst Kiah, The Strange Blue Dreams, The Bluebell Cajun Band and The Potting Shed All Stars. Also appearing is Darren Poyser & Pig Man – all-round entertainer and Mancunian Darren is also hosting the 2CV stage.
Saturday’s fun will have ex-Marine Chuck Hawthorne doing his thang, Libby Koch, Dropkick, Dorec-a-belle, The Cab Collective, Grateful Fred’s Ukulele Trio and The Andy Gunn Band. All of the Potting Shed stage will be MC’d by the veritable Fash Stewart who’s also appearing with The Great & The Good band.
Meanwhile, during the turnarounds on the Potting Shed stage, the wee 2CV stage will have folk like aforementioned Darren Poyser, Lisa T, Joe Hill’s Wake, Brandon Milane, The Cask, Niven & Gavin, Davy Cowan, Colin Clyne and Matt Morrow.
And if that don’t satisfy you somehow, then you need an ear retuning and and snob chip removal. So you be smart and check out this stage during your Bellatime, y’hear?
