Hunter & The Bear to play Inverness in May.

The band were formed in 2012 and have evolved from a duo to a four piece over this time their sound too has changed from a strong folk feel to now being charged with leading up the much anticipated resurgence of rock & roll, if a resurgence was indeed required.

Fronted by Will Irvine from Achiltibuie, Hunter & The Bear unsurprisingly quote influences such as The Band, Dire Straits and Bruce Springsteen. They have indeed shared billing with the boss as well as supporting Eric Clapton in 2014.

On reviewing 2015 EP ‘Wildfire’ John Apice of No Depression noted “I found this music filled with high test notes and musicianship that was spirited, whipped into a delightful frenzy of chiming guitars, driving percussion, and those ever-present, searing Will Irvine vocals.”

A hard work ethic that has seen them gig prolifically throughout the UK with the occasional excursion to Europe and USA. Their 2017 Scottish tour coincides with the release of their debut album, check out lead single from the LP, ‘Renegade’ below.

Hunter & The Bear play the Ironworks, Inverness on May the 18th.
