Hue and Cry Press Shot (4)

We last saw Hue and Cry at Rewind 2011, which left us with the thought that they had a lot more to offer than a retrospective. Certainly this was the case with the follow up to Open Soul, Hot Wire which was described as “(opening) like gangbusters with the one-two punch of “Duty to the Debtor” and “Little Man”, surely the best opening ever to a Hue and Cry album”.

This year has seen the band play for Jools Holland on his BBC Radio 2, they have taken part in the BBC 6 Music 10th Anniversary Special with presenter Craig Charles and played alongside James Taylor and his Fantasy Funk Band.

Speaking of the ‘Hot Wire in Scotland’ tour Pat and Greg discussed their love of playing to a home crowd.

‘‘We are delighted to be taking the ‘Hot Wire’ tour to Scotland in October, we will be on tour across parts of the UK in April and May but we have to say home is where the heart is, it will be great to be taking the ‘Hot Wire’ tour to our Scottish fans for the grand finale” says Pat.

Brother Greg adds “We really enjoy the full-on band gigs they give us the opportunity to play the songs in all their glory, playing them live just gives the tracks a new lease of life on the stage. We are looking forward to playing the new material from ‘Hot Wire’ and of course a few fan favourites”.

Tickets for the show will be available on Friday the 6th of April via www,
