One of the newest cafes in town, Velocity, is on the look out for musicians to showcase their talent.

The cafe, launched as a Social Enterprise to get more people on bicycles in Inverness, played host to its first gig just before Christmas: Claire Campbells launch of the latest Abagail Gray EP, “Snowflake Remember”. She explained the decision to play the venue simply : “They have great cakes, a friendly atmosphere, good crockery, (and) an agreeable ethos”.  Anybody that attended the gig on that cold dank evening would certainly agree that the venue hosted a memorable evening.

It’s no surprise that the venue is looking to repeat the success of the evening and they are encouraging acoustic acts to sing for their dinner. They are looking for acts who are keen to play the unique venue on a Thursday night between 7-9pm and, yes, they are promising anybody who plays their dinner.

If you are interested please email penny@velocitylove.co.uk and include a link to your music. You can find more about the cafe on the Velocity Facebook page.
