James MacKenzie returns to the Highlands for a handful of dates.

We caught up with James  when he talked about his move from Inverness to Glasgow.  Things are looking good for him, with Ricky Fulton of the Daily Record predicting the time might be right for James when he said;“With 90′s nostalgia getting bigger, maybe it’s time to get back to simple singalongs. And Inverness singer/songwriter James is just the man to do it.“ So with momentum behind him he has announced a few local dates.

First up is a trip up to BFest, Wick on the 17th of August, he finds himself in a tent called the tent. his performance at last years festival went down particularly well so a return we guess a return was inevitable. Another festival, another return when he plays the third outing  for the guys who can organise a pi@@ up at a brewery, Jocktoberfest on the 7th of September.

He returns to Inverness on the 18th of October, to The Market Bar where he will be joined by the Shambles Miller and his own brand of observational comedy put to tune.

Sponsorship for his latest ventures, comes from AJG Parcels so we suspect that he will be travelling safely securely and efficiently covered in brown paper with cello tape in a yellow van.

You can find James Mackenzie on line.

We have covered James quite a bit down the line so check out some of our reviews and interviews with him.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me direct at chris@igi.gs
