Dorec-a-belle release their new single ‘Listen’ on Monday April 7th with a single launch at Mad Hatters on Thursday April 10th, 2014.

It’s hard to ignore the female four piece they get every where, well kinda. If it’s not supporting the Red Hot Chilli Pipers at Red Hot Highland Fling it’s winning the public’s and judges’ hearts to play the main stage of Wickerman 2013 and an impressive CV of festivals (Bella to Celtic Connections) to boot.

The band have certainly won hearts and minds, one reviewer (when they supported Magic Numbers at The Ironworks) declared “The blend of their harmonising all female vocals and irresistibly catchy songs made me want to ditch the formulation seating and start dancing”. Dorec-a-belle bring together an impressive array of music talent that blends four-part harmonies with acoustic guitar, sax, accordion & cello.

‘Listen’, which won the Sunday Herald newspaper’s nation-wide Unsigned Band Competition, will be available as a free download from www.musicglue.com.The track features Lush Roller’s Robin Abbott and Derek Urquhart who will also be performing at the single launch.

Maryann Frew said ‘The band are exceptionally proud of the feedback ‘Listen’ received last summer from the press & Scottish Festival circuit. We are pleased to be releasing a brand new version as our first release of 2014”.

Support on the evening comes from singer song writer, Topher Elliott.
