Old favourites, emerging bands and local acts included in Belladrum 2014’s first line-up announcement.

Holly Atkinson, who was the 2013 winner of Bella’s Got Talent is formally announced on the line-up, it will be a different audience for Holly this time round, but no doubt she will aim to impress again. The nine-piece ska collective from Glasgow, Esperanza will be bringing their combination of self penned tunes and ska classics that have seen the band earn support slots for the likes of Toots and the Maytals, The Skatalites, Bad Manners and The Beat.

Two bands from the Olive Grove stable, with local links, in Randolph’s Leap and Call to Mind will continue to push forward with the momentum that they currently have. Another band who are currently on the rise are Casual Sex who were described as “Solid concentrated indie rock” when they played Mad Hatters earlier this month.

Inverness based Dorec-a-belle who are currently promoting the new recording of ‘Listen’ will be joined Danny & The Champions Of The World, The Big Fat Electric Ceilidh Band, The Lorelei,Mad Dog McRea and Caledonian Ceilidh Trail.

Guess it would not be Belladrum unless Scooty & The Skyhooks are playing, which they are (perhaps it’s only a matter of time until The Dangleberries are announced?)
