TBP Reef at Belladrum 2014 3 300x200 - Reef to Light up 2015
Lead singer, Gary Stringer at Belladrum 2014

Reef celebrate twenty one years in the business by playing Belladrum this year. During their years they have supported the likes of Paul Weller, The Rolling Stones and Soundgarden.

Whilst ‘Place Your Hands’ can be easily described as their best known song, it is hard to ignore other hits including ‘Come Back Brighter’ and ‘Consideration’.

Despite a lengthy career it has limited impact on their live shows , our reviewer noted of their Loopallu 2013 appearance “It is almost 20 years since some of these songs were recorded but the music feels in no way dated and the band themselves put on a fresh and enjoyable performance”.

Their performance at Belladrum 2014 won the plaudits of many despite having the distractraction/added bonus (delete as appropriate) of the colour explosion of Holifest near the end of their set.

Reef play The Ironworks on the 2nd of April 2015, with tickets on sale online from Friday the 10th of October

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me direct at chris@igi.gs
