West country folk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Seth Lakeman comes to the Ironworks in 2015.

With albums including Mercury Music Prize nominated ‘Kitty Jay’ and ‘Freedom Fields’ under his wing, his most recent album ‘Word of Mouth’ was released early 2014. The album gets under the skin his home area of  Devon and Cornwall, exploring hidden histories and unsung everyday heroes from his locale.

His music has taken around the world including a number of Belladrum performances are only the tip of the iceberg having played about every major festival bill across the UK. In 2013 interviewed with the world’s leading expert, Izzy Young in a BBC Radio 4 special called ‘The Folklorist’.

In an interview with Folk Radio Uk, Seth, said of his live shows; “The music is the way that I am – quite frantic, impatient; the 90 minutes on stage are a good representation of the man. I can’t sit still for 5 minutes. It’s more performance theatre rather than academic folk on stage”.
