Prides and more for The Loch Ness Inn, in September.
Prides who described themselves as “as rock and roll as a flannel” are purveyors of some of the finest synthpop anthems including ‘Out of the Blue’ and ‘Messiah’.The former song found it’s way onto the Fifa 15 soundtrack and was featured on their debut album, ‘The Way Back Up.
On speaking to the band about the support that they were garnering they said “We just try and write the best songs we can, play the best shows we can, and hope people enjoy it. It’s been amazing to see people start to connect with the music, and we’ve had some incredible support this year.”
It’s perhaps no surprise that they have played everywhere from the Commonwealth Games to ,most recently, Leeds and Reading Festivals.
They have retained a liking for small events and venues, having started the year playing Aviemore’s Old Bridge Inn, despite their stadium sized sound. They last played the area, when they owned the main stage at Belladrum 2015.
Joining them on the bill will Atom Tree, who return to the venue after playin in April, we caught them playing goNORTH 2014 where our reviewer described them as “slightly psychedelic techno sound definitely provided something unique, that isn’t usually my cup of tea, but was genuinely thoroughly enjoyable”.Having recently supported Glasvegas at Kelvingrove Bandstand, they are currenly working on new material.
Gauranteed to bring a party feel to proceeding are special guests Mystic Shoes with DJing responsibilities going to Alan Grant and Ciaran Donaghy.
Prides play The Loch Ness Inn on the 12th of September, with ticket details to be announced here, soon.
