Broken Records to play Tooth and Claw in April.

6 piece, Edinburgh based Broken Records have frequently drawn similarities to Arcade Fire and in some quarters Glasvegas and The Levellers. Their career has seen them tour with Editors and The National whilst also performing at festivals including Glastonbury, SXSW and T in the Park. Clash described the band’s live shows as “Bombastic, ecstatic affairs, they seemed to sluice together Springsteen’s urgency with the dense, folk-hewn poetry of The Pogues”.

They play Inverness as part of the promotion of 4th album “What We Might Know” which gets released on the 30th of March. The new album sees the band work with producer Stephen Watkins who recorded their self-released debut EP and promises to “recapture the chaotic energy” of their debut EP. Jamie Sutherland, in a recent interview with The Skinny reflected on the new album;

“I’ve always been a fan of narrative, almost screenwriting style songwriting, the kind that can put you in a scene directly and They Won’t Ever Leave Us Alone definitely fits in that mould,”
