Madness to play Northern Meeting Park in August.

Firmly enshrined Ska royalty in Suggs and Co. aka Madness will make a return to Inverness to headline their own show after impressing Highland audiences with appearances at Rockness (way back in 2013) and a more recent slot at Belladrum.

Known for their classics including  House of Fun, Driving in My Car, It Must Be Love, Our House and Baggy Trousers, they are not resting on their laurels with the band’s most recent album, Can’t Touch Us Now, reached the Top 10 in the UK Album Charts.

Madness will be kicking of the New Year heading up the BBC1’s New Year’s Eve celebrations in London. The band are clearly looking forward to their Inverness gig;

“Our Scottish fans always give us such a warm welcome and we’ll offer them a great concert featuring a superb line-up of our hits, which we can all dance along to!”

Bob Reid, Operations Manager, LCC Live, said:

“Madness are the band of the people, who inject fun into everything they do. They are superb live and always give fans an incredible night performing a range of their unique hits from over the decades.”

The show is being organised by local concert promoter, LCC Live, and is the first concert to be announced for Northern Meeting Park in 2019 as part of ‘Live in the City’. Sign up to our mailing list to make sure you do not miss further announcements.
