Wuh Oh and The Roov head up new additions on the line-up for XpoNorth curated Tartan Heart Festival
Belladrum is an excellent platform for the acts we support to reach new audiences and develop their profile, and we’re delighted to continue our long- standing partnership with one of the best festivals in the country. This year’s line-up looks fantastic, and we’re excited to be presenting such a diverse range of talent to the Belladrum audiences from this year’s XpoNorth.Alex Smith, XpoNorth Project Manager
Wuh Oh has been whipping up a storm that has earned the Glasgow producer over 300000 listens on Spotify with what podcast described as “a sun-kissed pop odyssey” in ‘Stay Tuned’. Singer-songwriter Aaron Smith quotes Chris Martin, Billie Eilish, Khalid and Bon Iver as his influences he has spent several months in artist development with Lewis Capaldi’s manager Scott Kirkwood.
Flying the flag for the flag for the local scene will be The Roov who return to the stage that they opened last year. Their recent release ‘Vanilla’ is far from the blandness that may be associated with the title, instead a summery ditty with more than a dash of Prince. If you cant wait till Belladrum you can catch them on the 21st of July at Proudness.
The Dihydro , aka Thomas Newell and Jamie Douglas, are purveyors of “Dirty Two Piece Grunge”, they are relatively new on the scene the band having started gigging early in 2019. You can find out more about the band here.
LIIMO make an unsurprising appearance at the festival, having joined Tamzene on the “Belladrum on the Road” tour earlier this year. Solareye‘s inclusion will be much anticipated (our interview with him back in 2014 is still one of our favourites), with the Stanley Odd frontman is as relevant and refreshing as ever.
Also on the bill are;
The stage will also host special late night performances for recently reformed ,and fresh from opening for The Proclaimers, Astrid as well as the local legends that are Iain McLaughlin & The Outsiders.
We are delighted to be partnering with XpoNorth to programme our emerging artist stage at Belladrum again this year. Over the years this stage has provided an opportunity to see some of the best new acts in the country at the early stages of their career before watching them break out and move their way up festival bills across the UK and further afield.Joe Gibbs Belladrum Festival
